The Lion King (2019)
Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub's arrival. Scar, Mufasa's brother—and former heir to the throne—has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is ravaged with betrayal, tragedy and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba's exile. With help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba will have to figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his.

I thought this could have been different. I did enjoy the casting, especially the voice actors of Timon and Pumba. And, I am a huge Disney/Lion King fan, so of course I loved all the music. EXCEPT "Be Prepared"! This is one of my main problems with the movie. "Be Prepared" was one of my favorite Lion King songs and I feel like this movie did not capture the ruthlessness of Scar. Also, he didn't even SING! He just talked, in sort-of ryhmey-fast way. My only other problem was that the lions had 0 facial expressions! This is what was special about the cartoon. All the animals had facial expressions. But in the live-action movie, you can barely tell what characters are feeling, so all you can try to do is listen to the emotion in their voice.
