When I first began reading, I was easily mesmerized by the book. The wondrous pages of Hatchet were begun by introducing a 13 year old boy named Brian Robeson. He was planning on having a relaxing trip to Canada to see his dad, but was he wrong. Brian’s trip soon turned into a front page story. With having dreams of “the secret”, a hatchet, and whatever brings him, can Brian survive the unfortunate events of Canada’s forests? Or does he perish and become a lost soul to nature. I defiinently recommend this book. It’s probably one of the best I’ve read this year. It’s the pure cure to turning a terrible year, to a relaxing and exciting one with a fine copy of Hatchet in your house. I definitely recommend Hatchet to 5th and 6th graders as there is an immature word at the very last page. Overall, Hatchet is a great book and I give it a 9.2/10 stars
