Aliens invade Earth… check, postapocalyptic…check, and awesome story... check. The fantastic book that I am reviewing today is The 5th Wave By:Rick Yancey. Right of the bat I would like to tell you that this book is truly spectacular and just pure awesome, out of 10 I would give this book a 9.5.The 5th Wave tells the story of a postapocalyptic world brought on by alien invasion. A high school girl named Cassie has to try to save her brother and somehow survive in a world where aliens police the skies with large killer robots. Due to the waves about 1% of the population is left. The problem is that people get taken to a secret military that may or may not actually be the alien’s HQ in disguise. Now let's talk about the main characters, even though Cassie is the narrator Ben Ross and Laurie Sanders are the major characters and the protagonists. I really liked this book for its fast paced writing it did not take long at all to get to the action. This book takes place in the future which makes sense for its dystopian genre and postapocalyptic story. Also, it takes place mostly in a high school. I have not seen the movie so i can't compare or contrast those two. Also, I have never read a different Rick Yancey book so I do not know how he writes. Based on the Fifth Wave I can tell that the Infinite Sea and the third book will be similar. Action packed, fun, and interesting. I would recommend this book to both boys and girls and someone who loves the dystopian genre. All in all this was a superb book and I LOVED it!Over 8 years agorohan123 has read this book.

The book that I will be reviewing today is Zach’s Lie By: Roland Smith. This book is about a boy named Jack Osbourne, his life changes the night that masked robbers break into his house and threaten his family. After that Jack finds out that these men came because, Jach’s father had been arrested for drug trafficking. Jack, his mother, and his sister are then forced to enter Witness Security Program. Jack becomes "Zach" and moves to Elko, Nevada, a town in the middle of nowhere. There he meets Sam, the strangest school custodian he has ever encountered, and Catalin, a girl who might make Zach's uprooting worth the trouble. But just as Zach finally begins to piece together a new life, he finds himself in danger again-and this time his actions could determine the fates of everyone he cares about. I liked this book for many reasons such as, it constantly had action. Another reason I liked this book was that you can really see what people face when they go into witness protection. Zach’s Lie is definitely realistic fiction because, all of these events could happen in real life. Internal conflict happens in this book is that Zach is always worried that when he cares about someone they get hurt. An External Conflict that happened was Man vs Man this happened in the beginning of the book when the masked robbers intruded Zach’s home. To conclude, Zach’s Lie was a great book and I recommend it to both boys and girls but also, people who like action packed books.About 9 years agoelateacheris now following noodles54.
